Pat Stayton is Professor of Bioengineering at the University of Washington. As an Investigator at NESAC/BO, he is involved in Core and Collaborative projects involving the synthesis of peptides and ordered proteins. He also acts as a consultant on research involving engineered proteins. Dr. Stayton has extensive experience in the areas of site-directed mutagenesis of proteins and the preparation of oriented proteins.
Dr. Stayton received his Ph.D. in Biochemistry from the University of Illinois-Champaign in 1989. His research interests include protein engineering, biomaterials, drug delivery, and biomineralization.
